Students I work with

From 8 years old and beyond, beginners and advanced. Together we will be discovering the secrets of this wonderful instrument. From very early on we will be learning melodies and tunes that you have enjoyed in order for there to be motivation to study. At the same time, we will be learning the theory of music together in order to make it easier to appreciation the melodies and tunes. Music means freedom and that's how I see it. I combine listening practice with reading sheet music and theory.

A few words about Yiannis

Born in Athens in 1995, Yiannis attended the music school of Ilion and the Municipal Conservatory of Peristeri from 2004 to 2011, where in addition to the saxophone he took piano and digital keyboards lessons. He studied music technology and sound engineering, and has attended a masterclass on "the art of breathing".

Yiannis studied saxophone alongside Georgios Daravelis, Dimitris Pantelias, Samuel Marlieri and Dimitris Tsakas. Yiannis also served in the air force band, taking part in concerts, among others, at the Athens Concert Hall and the Greek National Opera.

Yiannis has from 2009 to the present day been a member of the Orchestra of New Sounds.

As a musician from an early age Yiannis has performed at numerous concerts and music venues and has collaborated with well-known artists, such as Mimis Plessas, Ria Kourti, Panos Mouzourakis, Christos Thiveos, Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Paola, Nikos Makropoulos, Sakis Rouvas, Giannis Ploutarchos, Despina Vandi, Kaiti Garbi, Giorgos Sampanis, Peggy Zina, etc.

He has also performed as a musician in theatrical performances with Vassilis Charalambopoulos, Giannis Tsortekis, Alexandra Aidini.

For the last 8 years Yiannis has taught alto and tenoro saxophone at music conservatories and online.

Teaches in both English and Greek.
