I used to play music and sing for several years using a more contemporary repertoire and I was even quite good. So I decided to try out classical singing and booked some lessons with Irini from MusicPal. The first time she gave me an aria to try, I honestly wished a hole in the ground would swallow me up! Suddenly it was as if I'd never done any singing before. Irini sensed my anxiety, interrupted the lesson and engaged with me on a human level. She explained to me that the classical repertoire has nothing to do with the modern and that it's perfectly normal not to manage it right from the beginning. She was very patient, super cheerful and slowly coached me through the technical things that I needed to correct. Now, after 5 months of taking lessons, I feel that I'm starting to reach quite a good level and I owe it entirely to her patient and level-headed reaction in that first lesson. An excellent teacher and an even nicer person. I highly recommend her.
