A few words about Theoni

Born in Athens in 1979, Theoni began her musical studies at piano school at the age of 6.

Theoni graduated from the National Conservatory and the Conservatory of Diapason in 2004 with a Diploma in Piano, Harmony and Counterpoint (piano class of Zoe Ferousis and Advanced Theory classes from Apostolos Darlas and Spyros Klapsis). At the same time, for four years she attended classes in Byzantine music and Traditional Greek Song at the School of Simon Karas, where she was a member of her choir and later obtained diplomas in Byzantine Music and Modern Singing from the Elefthero Odeio Music School.

She has attended courses in music and kinesthetic training, Rhythmic Dalcroze and dance therapy, body percussion, as well as piano training music in Greece (Moraitis School) and Austria (Orff Institute, Salzburg) under Soili Perkio, Andrea Ostertag, Gudrun Finder and Doug Goodkin.

She is also engaged in writing. Her children's fairytale, "The Kingdom of Melody" was published in 2009. accompanied by a CD with musical narration by Fotis Tzeranis.

Since 2005 Theoni has been teaching music and movement, Dalcroze Rhythmics and piano training in private schools, as well as piano, singing and advanced theory in music conservatories and other music schools. At the same time, she conducts courses in systems of music pedagogy for professional educators at music conservatories and dance schools.

She teaches in English, German and Greek.
