A few words about Mary

She was born in 2003 in Athens and grew up in a village in Central Evia.

From a very early age, music became an integral part of her life, a deep love that accompanies her to this day. At the age of 12, she began Byzantine music lessons in Chalkida with the Protopsaltis and Professor Mr. Dimos Tsimpos as her teacher, while at the same time she joined the philharmonic band, where she learned to play the trumpet and clarinet. Since then, she has been an active member of the band, participating in services and concerts throughout Evia and other areas.

In 2021, she moved to Athens to pursue her studies at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Political Sciences of the University of Athens. At the same time, she enrolled at the Music Foundation of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, where she continued her studies in Byzantine music, with the Director of the Foundation, Archimandrite Father Irineos Nakos as her teacher. In addition, she studies advanced theories of European music, piano and classical singing with Mr. Theofilos Voutsinas as her teacher.

She holds a diploma in Byzantine music with a grade of Excellent and has been honored with the "Spiridon Peristeris" award for her excellent performance in the diploma exams.
