A few words about Dimos

He was born in Athens in 1997.

He started music in the sixth grade learning the oboe. In the first year of high school he entered the Alimos Music School and turned to Byzantine music, the tambourine and the lute. After high school he transferred to the Department of Music Studies of the National University of Athens and began to have volunteer experience in churches. At the same time, he began his studies at the Conservatory of the Archdiocese of Athens, where he received his Degree in Byzantine Music in 2020 with professor Ioannis Athanasiou and his Diploma in 2022 with Georgios Demeli.

In 2020, he took private lute lessons with Giorgos Papaioannou where he learned the "primaristo" playing of the Western Cyclades.

He received a degree from the Department of Music Studies of the National University of Athens in 2024 with a thesis in the field of Byzantine Musicology with professor Achilleas Chaldaiakis in the field of explanation and topic: Election to the divine archangels of Synesion monk Iveritos, while at the same time he received the certification of pedagogical competence.

Since 2023, he has been teaching in conservatories and online, is a lampadarios in a holy temple in Athens and has started learning oboe again. He has experience playing the lute in musical events in Naxos since 2019. He also participated in the same year with the tambourine in the Romana orchestra.

Teaches in both Greek and English.
